HORSE TALK

Critics say that the Veterinary profession is a dark horse in Nigeria. I do not care about what they say for Veterinary Medicine I know is a bright horse. Even the gods know that they are backing the wrong horse by saying they have failed to understand that Veterinary Medicine is a horse of different colour. And that as the horse rider, plays the pipe for the horse; so the horse changes its direction and speed to dance to the tune dictated by the horse man. They also say that Veterinary Medicine is a difficult course, but, I refused to hold my horse. Before entering veterinary department because, I wanted to hear it from the horse’s mouth, so, I have got to work like a horse. Luckily enough, lectures are willing horses, the critics even told me to withdraw from Veterinary Medicine, but, they do not know that they are flogging a dead horse. Their intention is to make me put the cart before the horse. Neither bright horse nor dark horse can make me do so. At this stage , one should not give a damn to horse laughs because at the end, they will be the people to decorate one with the flowers of a horse chestnut. Any way I have sworn to be on high horse wherever I go. Within me, more horse power can generate than an engine of a robot. So that at the end, we all will become a member of the horse race both horse men and horse women. Certainly, I know that no amount of horse flies and horse ants will stop my horse from soaring high in order to restore the dignity of the horse professiot.
